*Regal Purple Rice – Rice has been used since the ancients as a blessing offering for spiritual & ancestral altars (we avoid salt as it harms spirits & those from Beyond the Veil.)Purple as associated with Persephone – we have chosen her Regal Purple colour for this offering bowl. Persephone is sometimes seen as a “Dark Goddess”, however, she is a dual aspect Goddess – as Goddess of Spring she reigns over birth and growth – as Queen of the Underworld she rules over death and transformation. Coupled with the fact that she learned sovereignty over her own life, Regal Purple corresponds to her perfectly as it embodies personal power and being in charge of your own fate.
 
*Black Onyx - Representing Persephone’s Protective attributes for those she assists.
 
*Marigold - this flower denotes respect and admiration to those presented with it. Other attributes are abundance and good luck in your ventures.
 
*Lemon Balm – for emotional healing & balance of mind, heart & spirit. The herb also amplifies the effects of other herbs. Correspondences to Persephone – this is called in Greek, Melissa for “Honey Bee” as it was used to attract bees to gardens – it is also part of the Mint family, another plant of Persephone’s.
